Head to head, the Rockets are 3-1-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and 3-1-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Denver, while the underdog is 6-1-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings and the road team is 4-1-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. The Nuggets are just 7-16 ATS in their last 23 games as a home favorite and 6-15 ATS in their last 21 home games. The Rockets on the other hand are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games.
The Pepsi Center has always been a tough place to play for opposing teams, however the Nuggets haven't dominated at home like they have had in a previous season. Yet, with four straight wins in the Mile High City, Denver has a chance to close out the regular season with a better home record than once expected. Houston on the other hand have suffered some unexpected home losses of their own, dropping their last two games to Utah and Phoenix, the two teams trying to take their playoff spot.
With both the Rockets and Nuggets occupying the final two playoff spots out West, this is a bigger game than initialy thought. While Denver has won four straight at home, the Rockets have been more impressive on the road, winning four straight themselves, which includes wins in Los Angeles and Chicago.
