Marvellous Twilight Win: Tottenham Win over Liverpool

THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Tottenham Hotspur successfully defended White Hart Lane against Liverpool 2-1 in Wednesday’s Premier League clash.

Aaron Lennon was pivotal to the Spurs’ first-half domination, scoring on the seventh minute after firing Gareth Bale’s cross inside the goal. Bale himself found the net less than 20 minutes into the game after a 25-yard effort that went beyond stunned keeper Pepe Reina.

Bale’s luck ran out towards the second half, as the Welshman carelessly let an own goal pass through Liverpool’s woodwork. Attempts from Luis Suarez, Daniel Agger and Jose Enrique failed to lead the visitors to win w1th ease, ending an eight-match unbeaten run in the league.

As Tight As the US Election: Chelsea, Liverpool Figure in Pulsating Draw

THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Chelsea did not manage to get closer to the top spot of the table as their Premier League match against Liverpool on Sunday ended in a pulsating 1-1 draw.

While Chelsea seemed set to win w1th ease through John Terry’s powerful 20th minute header, their celebration was cut short after they failed to break Luis Suarez’ equalizer on the 73rd minute.

Juan Mata and Oscar were not able to convert crucial chances. Terry, apart from a goal, marked his return to Chelsea with an injury that could take him a long time in the sidelines.

Just Like the Tight US Election: Anzhi Makhachkala Clinch Narrow Win over Liverpool in UEFA Europa League

THE LATEST UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE NEWS – Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are now top of their Europa League group table after a slender 1-0 win over English visitors Liverpool on Thursday.

Anzhi looked promising to win w1th ease over a Liverpool squad consisting of players inexperienced in European competition. Towering striker Lacina Traore gave the Russian side their fine moment by firing past keeper Brad Jones.

Liverpool sought to level matters but the command set by experienced players Joe Cole and Jonjo Shelvey proved inadequate to push the young men towards setting a stiffer competition.
