Tigers aiming to burn Blaze
The Tigers are likely to be buoyed by the return of centre Matt Burston (ankle), while captain Tommy Greer is hopeful of logging major minutes.Greer was hampered by Achilles tendonitis against the Breakers and is still in some pain. However, he was back to his bruising best at training on Friday and is expected to suit up.What was bruising was when the teams met a fortnight ago and the Tigers, led by Tragardh's 25 points, emerged with an important victory on the road. ''It was a good battle. We just hung around like a bad smell in that game,'' Tragardh said.
The Blaze prefers to play much like its name suggests - with a flurry of shots - but can struggle when forced into a half-court game.It fell 92-80 to the Wildcats in Perth and faces as difficult an assignment as the Tigers did last weekend having to back up after a long flight east. Injuries to James Harvey and Chris Goulding have compounded the woes. ''They want to shoot it within the first six or seven seconds of the shot clock,'' Tragardh said. ''Our transition defence has to be good and our defensive rebounding has to be good.''
