NBA: 76ers bounce back

76ers return to winning ways against Atlanta



The Philadelphia 76ers bounced back from their first home loss of the season with victory over the Atlanta Hawks in Friday's NBA action.

The Sixers lost 108-104 to the Denver Nuggest in overtime on Wednesday, but were never in danger of a repeat as they beat the Hawks 90-76.

Jrue Holiday had 16 points and 11 assists to help his side win for the ninth time in 11 games and improve to 7-1 at home.



In stark contrast, the miserable form of the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards continued as they both lost at home.

LaMarcus Aldridge had a season-high 33 points and a career-best 23 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers inflicted a seventh straight defeat on the Raptors, winning 94-84.

And the Wizards lost 108-104 to the Denver Nuggets, for whom Al Harrington scored a season-high 29 points.
