Szolnoki Olaj booked a return trip to the EuroChallenge with a thrilling 69-57 victory over Tampereen Pyrintö in Hungary.
Beaten 77-69 in the first leg last week in Finland, Péter Pór's men returned home and did just enough on Tuesday night to win the Qualifying Round tie.
Needing to win by nine or more, Szolnoki Olaj opened up a 64-50 lead late in the fourth quarter.
The Finnish team pushed them to the end, however, closing the gap to 66-57 after two free-throws by Antwine Williams.
Tampereen Pyrintö fouled Obie Trotter and he sank two free-throws to push the lead back to 11 before Marko Derasimovic made one of two from the line for the final score.
The visitors will be thinking they should have done much better in the two-legged tie.
In the first meeting, the Finns allowed Szolnoki to finish the game with a 13-1 run.
In Tuesday's second leg, Tampereen Pyrintö sank just nine of 17 free-throws (52.9%).
Trotter has been voted Player of the Week in the EuroChallenge before because of his all-round game.
He had 12 points, seven assists and nine rebounds in Tuesday's victory and also led his team with three steals.
Veteran big man Marton Bader also came up big for the winners with a team-high 14 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Williams had a game-high 16 points and eight rebounds in defeat. - http://www.fibaeurope.com
