Iran is try to make first 3-peat in Asian basketball history. They have best team, only one important missings(guard Veisi, but he is not crucial player and they have good replacments for him), great coach, great atletic ability and height in the team.... Star players are Hamed Haddadi(Memphis) and young talent Arslan Kazemi(Rice University). In preparation period played very good, beated Chinese Tapei 74:47, Korea 66:59 (Korea is one of 3 strongest teams in this competition) and trashed some weaker teams.
Chinese Tapei isnt strong as before 2 years when they was fifth on this competition and lose against Iran only with 4 point diference. I think only that small margin defeat is reason that we have so small handicap now. Two best players, Tien Lie and Jeremy Lin(Golden State Warriors) isnt with team. Iran have advantage in all basketball aspects and should win without any problem.
